HVR were contacted to install a 66kV circuit Breaker at a Gas Plant in WA’s Northwest. The current circuit breaker had been leaking Sulphur Hexafluoride gas, a harmful greenhouse gas and if pressure dropped further, the breaker could no longer extinguish a High Voltage arc within the Gas chamber. HVR procured a new breaker for the Client. We then removed and disposed the old breaker, installed and commissioned the new breaker, filled with new gas and had the plant back on line within 2 days.
